1 anno fa nasceva l’Associazione “Pinocchio Sport Pescia”

20 Novembre 2018 – Si è svolta presso la Fondazione Nazionale “Carlo Collodi” la presentazione ufficiale dell’Associazione “Pinocchio Sport Pescia”, nata dall’iniziativa di alcuni sportivi pesciatini che hanno voluto fare qualcosa per valorizzare il nostro territorio e avvicinare i giovani allo sport. Alessio Spelletti, che dell’Associazione è uno dei fondatori nonché il presidente, ne ha illustrate le finalità: si tratta di progetti ambiziosi ma nello stesso tempo concretamente realizzabili, visto anche l’appoggio della Fondazione che promuove in tutto il mondo iniziative culturali e educative a favore di bambini e ragazzi, con un occhio di riguardo all’inclusione dei più fragili o che provengono da situazioni di disagio. L’idea è quella di portare a Pescia eventi sportivi come corse competitive e non, che mirino sia a valorizzare le bellezze delle nostre colline – si pensi alla meravigliosa via della Fiaba che collega Pescia a Collodi – sia a promuovere un turismo sportivo che porti lavoro anche alle strutture ricettive locali. Il primo evento podistico della neonata associazione è già realtà: il 12 maggio 2019 si svolgerà una corsa che toccherà i luoghi di Pinocchio, il Parco e la Villa Garzoni, con una serie di attività collaterali pensate per bambini e famiglie. Altro obiettivo che i fondatori si sono dati – ne ha parlato la professoressa Lucia Giachini, responsabile dello sport inclusivo per l’Associazione – è la formazione di un team di preparatori atletici altamente specializzati (laureati in Scienze Motorie e formati anche in attività fisica adattata, per bambini e ragazzi con disabilità fisiche e intellettive), che potranno organizzare corsi o altre iniziative, come le Special Olympics, dedicate ai bambini e ai ragazzi. Il presidente della Fondazione Collodi, Pier Francesco Bernacchi, ha sottolineato come lo sport sia non solo competizione e agonismo, ma anche inclusione e rispetto verso chi è più debole, e ha auspicato che il rilancio di Pescia e dello sport pesciatino passino attraverso la sinergia con le altre numerose associazioni culturali, e non solo, del territorio. Sono intervenuti anche il Sindaco di Pescia, Oreste Giurlani, che ha assicurato pieno appoggio alla Pinoccchio sport Asd e ricordato le tante iniziative in programma nei prossimi mesi che riguardano lo sport, dalla ristrutturazione dello stadio dei Fiori, che potrebbe riportare in città anche le grandi squadre di calcio che in passato venivano ad allenarsi qui, ai lavori di rifacimento della palestra di Valchiusa. Intervenuto anche l’assessore allo sport del Comune di Pescia Fabio Massimo Bellandi, anche lui appassionato podista, che ha ricordato l’impegno del Comune nel collegare Pescia alla Eco-maratona “Da Leonardo a Pinocchio” in programma il 31 marzo 2019 per celebrare i 500 anni dalla morte di Leonardo da Vinci. Ha concluso l’incontro Nicola Tesi, sindaco di Ponte Buggianese e presidente UISP del Comitato di Pistoia. Tesi ha ricordato come il brand di Pinocchio, conosciuto in tutto il mondo, sia vincente e di buon auspicio per intraprendere un progetto di tale portata, e ha invitato i fondatori dell’associazione a pianificare gli eventi futuri in modo che non si sovrappongano a altri simili organizzati in città vicine.
Spelletti ha poi ringraziato gli sponsor e gli altri membri dell’Associazione, tutti presenti in sala insieme a amici, familiari e appassionati di running e sport in generale: Stefano Veneselli e Antonio Travaglini (vicepresidenti), Sara Orsi (segretario), Emiliano Vezzani (tesoriere), Andrea Salani e Francesco Giuntoli (consiglieri).

24 November 2018- The official presentation of the association “Pinocchio Sport Pescia” was held at the National Foundation “Carlo Collodi”, born from the initiative of some sporting citizens who wanted to do something to enhance our and bring young people to the sport.

Alessio Spelletti, who of the association is one of the founders and the President, explained the aims: these are ambitious projects but at the same time concretely achievable, also given the support of the foundation that promotes all over the world Cultural and educational initiatives for children and young people, with an eye on the inclusion of the most fragile or coming from uncomfortable situations. The idea is to bring to Pescia sporting events such as competitive races and not, that viewfinder is to enhance the beauties of our hills-think of the wonderful way of the fairy tale that connects Pescia to Collodi – both to promote sports tourism that brings work also to the local receptive structures. The first running event of the newborn association is already a reality: On May 12, 2019, will take place a race that touches the places of Pinocchio, the park and Villa Garzoni, with a series of side activities designed for children and families. Another objective that the founders have given to him – said Professor Lucia Giachini, head of inclusive Sport for the Association – is the formation of a team of highly skilled athletic trainers (graduates in motor sciences and formats also in adapted physical activity, for children and adolescents with physical and intellectual disabilities), who can organise courses or other initiatives, such as the Special Olympics, dedicated to children and young people. The President of the Collodi Foundation, Pier Francesco Bernacchi, he stressed that sport is not only competition and competitiveness, but also inclusion and respect for those who are weaker, and hoped that the relaunch of Pescia and the sport of citizens of Pescia pass through synergy with the other numerous cultural associations, and not only, of the territory. Intervened also the Mayor of Pescia, Oreste Giurlani, who assured full support to the Pinocchio Sport ASD and recalled the many initiatives planned in the coming months that concern the sport, from the renovation of the Stadium of Flowers, which could bring back to the city also the great teams of football that in the past came to train here, the work of makeover of the gym in Valchiusa. Also intervened the sports Councillor of the Municipality of Pescia Fabio Massimo Bellandi, also passionate runner, who recalled the commitment of the municipality in linking Pescia to the Eco-marathon “from Leonardo to Pinocchio” scheduled on March 31, 2019, to celebrate the 500 Years since the death of Leonardo da Vinci. He concluded the meeting Nicola Tesi, mayor of Ponte Buggianese and President Uisp of the Committee of Pistoia. Tesi recalled how the brand of Pinocchio, known all over the world, both winning and auspicious to undertake a project of this magnitude, and invited the founders of the Association to plan future events so that they do not overlap with other similar organized in neighbouring cities.
