Circa 6 – 7 chilometri andata e ritorno, attraverso la “Marzalla”, abbastanza agevoli, raggiungendo al massimo circa 250 metri di altitudine dai 62 s.l.m. di Pescia, segnali bianco-rossi “Cai 51” della Valdinievole.

Photo-news 43: The “Via della Fiaba”: a path from Pescia to Collodi.
The ancient path and mule track in a series of 14 photographs. About 6 – 7 kilometres round trip, through the place called “Marzalla”, quite easy, reaching a maximum of about 250 meters above sea level from 62 in Pescia, white-red signs of the “Cai 51” path of the Valdinievole (the local regional area).
You can start from Pescia, from “via della Cappella” (from via Sismondi, a few tens of meters beyond the Church of San Michele). Usually, it is practicable and signalled also because it is often part of local running races or walking. You pass a small chapel and you reach the paved road that leads to Monte a Pescia. There is is a large Cross (see photo). Crossed the road, you will see the unmistakable Villa Chiari on the right (see photo). Especially in spring along this route, there is interesting spontaneous flora. The ancient bridge over the Rio Dilezza, beautiful cobbled stretches, waterfalls. The path ends in Collodi, with three branches: the first one near the cemetery, the second one near the Garzoni garden and the third one for Collodi Castello.
